This week on the show Saranne and Matt take a very personal look at addiction with special guest, author and activist John Awen.

For 12 years John battled a heroin and crack cocaine addiction that nearly killed him more that once and saw him in and out or prison. But like a phoenix out of the ashes he turned his life around in spectacular fashion. Now a spiritual practitioner and vegan animal rights activist John tells us about his remarkable journey through the world of addiction and how a near fatal stabbing helped him turn his life around. He would go on to prove that there is life after addiction.

Tonight’s show cover a multitude of different subjects around the theme of addiction. Such as why the present Tory government has blood on their hands. Why there isn’t more support for the families and loved one of addicts when they are the ones often to bear the brunt of the fall out from an addicts lifestyle. As well as a positive message that another life is possible and that addiction can be over come.
